Course Information


The unendorsed route will enable students to explore a range of two or three dimensional approaches to their studies, either as freestanding or related experiences.

Qualifications to start the course

Students must have five GCSEs including English, Mathematics and Science graded A* - C. Additional requirements for this subject: Students must have GCSE Art, Graphics or textiles at grade C or above.

Description of the subject

Art and design, through individual development, provides opportunities for personal expression, imagination, conceptual thinking, developing powers of observation and analytical skills. You will be expected to respond to visual stimuli in a range of media and demonstrate your creativity.

Work produced for this qualification will demonstrate the use of formal elements and creative skills, and give visual forms to thinking, feeling and observation, design and ideas.
